Day 7

This is the last day in Bali for Richie and Neil.  They are flying back to Brisbane at 9.10pm.
We had a lazy morning, once again eating and swimming.
I met up  with Tim, the manager, who as it turns out was only interested in upselling us a Timeshare membership.  I had made it quite clear two years ago that we had done Timeshare for many years when the kids were small, and we have no need for it now. Still he tried but it fell on deaf ears and he promptly took his leave and never contacted us again to find out how we were going. Oh well, we made the most of our time there, as it did after all still cost us $1600 for the fortnight.  There are plenty of similar places at Nusa Dua, not Timeshare, as well as family compounds which are clean and much cheaper and just as accessible. For future reference.
Richie had probably had enough after a week as it turns out, as it is so full on, especially getting to places, as compared to western cities such as Brisbane.  I must remember that when next I want to complain about a morning traffic jam.
We arranged with Komang to pick us up at three to take us to the Beachwalk shopping centre and then Hard Rock Cafe for early tea.  Normally Top Bali do tours and airport pickups but because we had suitcases they agreed for him to take us around and wait for us, which was really helpful.
Beachwalk shopping centre is a modern, newly renovated plaza right opposite Kuta Beach.  We had no trouble accessing it with ramps and lifts, and Richie spent a bit of time at the DC Comics Superheroes store.
